What is your "true measure"?
Samuel Johnson’s famous epigram says, "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."
What about you?
How do you measure yourself?
Money? Status? Possessions? "Acheivements"?
There’s another old saying, "Comparison are odius".
Literally, that means that making a comparison smells, stinks!
So, what is your true measure?
If you compare yourself to someone with more money, more accomplishments, etc. you will feel lesser.
If you compare yourself to someone with less, you will likely feel better.
But, are you?
It depends.
Really, in the end…. measure against your own standards.
Set a goal. Work toward it. See how you are doing.
Keep going.
But, don’t measure yourself against others.
It stinks!
