I am smitten with the writings of Julia Cameron. I have FIVE of her books!
And, I believe in the power of Morning Pages, Julia’s wonderful invention for creating a spiritual awakening in writers.
BUT, but, I don’t do them RIGHT!
Julia wants me to write longhand.
Sheesh if I did that I couldn’t read them. So, sorry Julia I TYPE them.
Julia also says write 3 pages. Again, I divert from the true way.
I write not by volume but by length of time. I write for 1/2 an hour. I type as fast as I can, though.
Sin #3! I don’t write Morning Pages most weekends as I’m rarely at the computer.
Finally, I when I’m really inspired with an idea I will write a piece first and then do Morning Pages later — like in the afternoon.
Julia please forgive me.
