Have you ever had this experience?
You were about to do something and a wee, tiny, little voice inside suggested
something else.
That’s been happening to me all morning.
I’ve have tons of work to do for my ‘real’ job: a contract
to do Privacy Impact Assessments. Exciting stuff, eh?
Yet, what I have been feeling, sensing, hearing is this need
to write.
And, if I’ve learned anything about that wee, tiny voice
which originates with my Muse: it’s this!
I damn well better listen!
When she calls I pay attention.
Otherwise, when I need her help (say with the creative part,
and there is one, of those that privacy documentation) she is not going to be
there.
Sometimes, her requests seem pretty bizarre.
But, when I listen AND ACT on her requests I am rewarded
immensely.
So, when your muse speaks: listen.
