The JUST Right Focus – Part 2

So, Artistic-types have trouble focusing because there are
just so many interesting, stimulating things out there.

If that’s your challenge, what are you going to do?

First, let’s talk about what’s not going to work.

I’ve recently done a lot of writing about time
and priority management. I’ve given several presentations on the same
topic. And, attended another.

Here’s the essence of what seems apparent to this Artistic-type.

Let me say it loud and bold: "Traditional time management techniques
don’t work and will NEVER work for Artistic types!!"

Stuff the traditional: To Do lists, A B C prioritizing, and all the other
tricks and tips that works for ‘closure minded" (Note: I resisted saying
anal) folk!

Now, we can learn from these organized, get it done, tick off the list people.
We can ADAPT what they do.

But, and this is important: We will never, ever, not in your lifetime, be able
to use their tools, their way, as well as they do!!

That’s like expecting a great doctor to be a terrific contractor. Sure there
are an odd few who can do both (Well, I did meet ONE).

But, the brain of an Artistic-type IS NOT wired the same way as a Conventional
type!

So, Conventional tools do not work. Period.

It’s time to recognize that.

It’s time to do something about it!

More later.
